Welcome to our swim blog... it's all about swimming in the ocean, mostly in the La Jolla, California area. We're open-minded, open-water fans -- enjoying local marine creatures, fish, yellow tails, birds and even the occasional human swimming by... Just like to get BACK TO THE WATER, whenever and as often as we can!
Marta, Thanks for posting the Big Chill pics! Thanks too goes to Doug and you all for getting all the mileage, shirts and logistics done for our Big Samoan swim. Looks like the mumus were a hit and Phoenix looked stunning in coconuts! Loved the tags you posted too... "where the f**k were you guys" of course was my favorite... swugs! ~cary
Pheonix, lftc,C rose,Al, and dianadarling all swam EARLY Saturday before the Big Chill fiesta. Saw mucho oceanlife....big Bass, huge school of Baracuda, and Lepards. Thank you all for a great fun time at the fiesta and in the H20.
kudos goes to Doug...it was his baby! I merely filled in the gaps. It was a fun event again this year. Stand outs were the mumu girls, Ken doing (we think) the hula...maybe John Trivolta impersonation, the food was a hit of course, Doug's HUGE...authentic pukka necklace and the hospitality of the Robertson's. I faintly remember hearing individual renditions of "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" being sung LOL Great day...missed those partying elsewhere, but we sure had fun.

Hooray for you, Marta - for sharing these pics with your truant friends. And for getting the whole project together with Doug.
