Saturday gander

No gondoliers today. But plenty of mermaids! Ruth, Cami, LFTC, Marta and Diana - swam out into the cold choppy sea today - out to the A and back via the .25. It felt like real swimming - so glad to see my sea-sisters pumping away next to me. My first challenge getting into the Cove as the swell and breakers were larger than i would have liked. But I managed, safe and sound. Water felt bracing and lovely. Company was unsurpassed. We even saw the famous mer-couple Cary and Bill as they swam into the Cove for a u-turn. Blessed be.

  1. ruth, it's hard to believe what kind of swimmer you are turning out to be. totally demure and petite but ready to kick some butt and get what's yours! brave too, good for you and you were great today! be smart, every time you swim, we need you.

  3. Today was a smart swim. Like LFTC advised: we go in together and come back together. Before everyone showed at the Cove today, we got a good example of what can happen when swimmers are separated and there's no communication or plan. All turned out ok, but a good lesson to remember. You maidens rock it!
